Overview

The IAEA is seeking a Communications Intern to assist with the planning, organization, and execution of events and communication products within the Department of Safeguards.


Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with the planning, organization and execution of both departmental and Agency-wide events and associated communication aspects.
  • Create drafts of communication products for departmental communication initiatives.
  • Participate in the Department of Safeguards' Communication Working Group and act as a liaison for divisional communication representatives.
  • Design content for digital communication materials within the Department of Safeguards.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance the effectiveness of the Department of Safeguards' communication products.
Required Experience
  • Experience in writing and editing texts in English.
  • Skills in graphic design and layout.
  • Skills in survey design and analysis is an asset.
  • Knowledge of technical fields of relevance to nuclear verification is an asset.
Qualifications

• University Degree in Communication, journalism, public relations, international relations or a related field.

• Fluency in any other IAEA official language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Spanish or Russian) an asset
