Overview

Support the IAEA's work on positioning nuclear energy within emerging low-carbon financing mechanisms and carbon market frameworks. This includes analytical and technical contributions to the development of methodologies, regulatory approaches and instruments that enable nuclear technologies to participate in carbon markets.


Key Responsibilities
  • Support analytical work on the inclusion of nuclear energy in carbon market mechanisms.
  • Contribute to research on Article 6 of the Paris Agreement.
  • Assist in reviewing and comparing sustainable finance taxonomies.
  • Monitor regulatory and policy developments related to low-carbon financing instruments.
  • Assist in preparing background notes, presentations, and technical summaries.
  • Support the organization of workshops, consultations and expert dialogues.
  • Provide general analytical and administrative support to ongoing initiatives.
Required Experience

Experience in Nuclear Energy System Assessment Methods, Nuclear Energy System Economic Analysis, or Nuclear Energy System Modelling and Analysis is an asset.

Qualifications

University Degree in law, finance, environment, social sciences, policy, international relations, economics.
