Overview
Internship position for research support within the Research and Policy Unit of the WFP China Office, focusing on food security, agricultural economics, and rural development.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in researching and drafting basic concepts, outlines, and simple proposals for thematic studies and research (including policy briefs) under guidance.
- Help gather publicly available data on agriculture/food security topics and organize materials for review.
- Support creation of summaries and basic visualizations for internal and external meetings.
- Draft routine correspondence and meeting minutes related to policy and research activities.
- Facilitate collaboration with academic and research partners with basic tasks for research engagement.
- Compile regular progress updates and share with team.
- Facilitate the coordinate basic communication with internal units and external partners about research and policy activities.
Qualifications
- Be currently enrolled in an undergraduate programme (for example, Bachelor’s degree) from a recognized university and have completed at least two years of the programme; OR
- Be currently enrolled in a graduate programme (for example, Master degree); OR
- Be a recent graduate from an undergraduate or graduate programme (within six months prior to the application to the internship programme);
- Classes attendance in the last 12 months of enrolment in a recognized university.
