Overview
The Aviation Officer ensures follow-up of air transport activities and air movements, coordinating and administering air operations to support the delivery of safe and efficient air services.
Key Responsibilities
- Support aviation projects or operational day-to-day activities applying standard processes, including operational risk management.
- Collect and analyze data to recommend actions to improve performance of aviation activities and operations.
- Support the supervisor with financial analysis and budget reviews.
- Provide guidance to support staff.
- Collate data and contribute to preparation of accurate and timely reporting.
- Support the capacity building of WFP staff and partners to safe aviation operations.
- Identify and build productive relationships with aviation colleagues and staff.
- Follow emergency aviation preparedness practices.
- Act in an assigned emergency response capacity as required.
Required Experience
At least one (1) year of relevant professional experience with an advanced university degree in Aviation, Aeronautics or another related field; or at least three (3) years of relevant professional experience with a first university degree.
