Overview
Lead the OECD's work on agricultural policy monitoring and evaluation, managing the production of a flagship report and related database, and supervising a team of analysts and statisticians.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the production of the OECD Agricultural Policy Monitoring and Evaluation report and the related agricultural support database.
- Supervise a team of international policy analysts and statisticians.
- Manage foreseen improvements to the agricultural support database and the report.
- Liaise with others working inside the Organisation on agriculture policy discussions and indicators.
- Take a lead role in consultations with delegations during design and approval processes related to the report.
- Contribute to enhancing visibility, usage and impact of the report and database.
- Serve as Board member to the Aglncentives Consortium of international organisations on agricultural support measurement.
- Maintain a network of contacts with delegations, governments, other international organisations, universities, and research institutes.
- Respond to timely requests for information on agricultural policy issues.
- Participate in division management discussions.
- Contribute to discussions and decisions related to work plans, performance reviews, human resource management and budget.
- Manage contracts, hiring, and raise funding.
- Identify and manage external consultants and temporary staff.
Required Experience
- Eight to ten years' experience in policy analysis acquired in a national government, a research environment or in another international organisation.
- Experience in quantitative analysis of agricultural policy issues.
- Experience in leading a team towards tangible outcomes.
Qualifications
- An advanced university degree in agricultural economics or a similar discipline.
- A PhD or similar academic publication record in the area of agricultural policies or related fields would be an asset.
