Overview
The Language Teacher will provide language classes/training services to UNAMA Staff to support international staff capacity-building to learn local languages (Dari & Pashto).
Key Responsibilities
- Preparing lesson plans and educational materials
- Delivering Dari and Pashto language instruction in both practical and academic contexts
- Communicating effectively in English (spoken and written) to support instruction and coordination
- Conducting progress assessments and monitoring student development
- Managing classroom activities and ensuring effective lesson delivery
- Preparing and administering tests, examination papers, and exercises
- Marking assignments and providing constructive feedback
- Maintaining a productive and respectful classroom environment
- Assessing and evaluating student performance
Required Experience
Minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience, preferably with NGOs, courses, or international organizations is required.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Dari Literature, Pashto Literature, or a related field is required. TEFL / TESOL certification is considered an asset
