Overview
The IT Operations Assistant G5 will support the implementation and standardization of IT operations activities and technologies for the WFP Country Office in Haiti. The role involves providing high-quality technical support and maintenance of systems and data to ensure efficient IT service delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform system maintenance tasks including monitoring, diagnostics, and optimization.
- Maintain technological equipment, including standard repairs, configuration, and storage.
- Prepare files and systems for inventories and archiving.
- Distribute tasks among colleagues, ensuring adherence to standards and deadlines.
- Respond to various technology and system-related requests.
- Provide standard training to end-users on technologies and systems.
- Perform routine deployments of server hardware and software.
- Support the configuration and active monitoring of emergency communication systems.
- Support beneficiary registration planning and participate in beneficiary registration.
- Support the configuration and setup of SCOPE IT solutions and SCOPE equipment.
- Provide reports and feedback on beneficiary management.
- Support and maintain all WFP IT and SCOPE assets.
- Identify, report, and resolve issues between retailers and beneficiaries.
- Apply established emergency response processes and procedures.
Required Experience
- Five (5) years of relevant experience in IT support, computer networks, or systems administration within the UN system or international organizations.
- Experience in planning and deploying IT/SCOPE systems aligned with operational needs.
- Ability to install and configure new IT hardware and software.
- Experience in supporting the design and implementation of IT service management systems.
- Experience in providing user support services.
- Required experience in program implementation and support, MDM, Android-based devices, field coordination and operations, and effective team management.
- Experience in applying customer service standards.
Qualifications
- Completion of secondary education.
- A post-secondary certificate in the relevant functional area is desirable.
- A university degree in Computer Science or any other relevant field related to telecommunications and electronic engineering, with additional years of professional experience and/or relevant training/courses.
- A CISCO CCNA and/or ITIL certification is an asset.
