Overview

Support the Climate Finance Unit's communications strategy and activities across digital and traditional channels.


Key Responsibilities
  • Support the CFU Communications Lead in developing and implementing the Unit’s communications strategy.
  • Draft, edit and proofread communications materials including newsletters, blog posts, social media content, press releases and website updates.
  • Assist in the design and production of visual communications materials such as infographics, fact sheets, brochures and presentation templates.
  • Support the documentation of CFU events, workshops and milestones.
  • Help maintain and update the Unit’s online presence.
  • Support in Monitoring media coverage and compile media roundups.
  • Participate in CFU’s internal meetings and assist the team in preparing report documents and communication resources.
  • Support in any other duties on a needs basis.
Qualifications

Applicants must meet one of the following requirements: (a) be enrolled in, or have completed, a graduate school programme (second university degree or equivalent, or higher); (b) be enrolled in, or have completed, the final academic year of a first university degree programme (minimum bachelor’s degree or equivalent). We encourage applicants with a degree/background in the following fields: International Relations, Geography, Environmental Science, Energy Policy, Communications, Business Administration, or a related discipline focusing on climate change, sustainable development, and/or international environmental governance.

Remuneration
Interns are not financially remunerated by the United Nations. Costs and arrangements for travel, visas, accommodation and living expenses are the responsibility of interns or their sponsoring institutions.
