Overview

Provide substantive and organizational support to UN Turkiye COP31 Task Team related to climate change and other thematics. Assist in organizing meetings, consultations, and coordination platforms.


Key Responsibilities
  • Provide substantive and organizational support to UN Turkiye COP31 Task Team.
  • Assist in organizing meetings, consultations, and coordination platforms.
  • Support in preparation for background materials, draft agendas, take meeting minutes, and produce summary reports.
  • Assist in research, data management, and compile analytical inputs.
  • Contribute to the drafting of briefing notes, talking points, concept notes, presentations, and other knowledge products.
  • Assist in developing communication and visibility materials.
  • Contribute to internal coordination updates, tracking tools, and progress reports.
Required Experience

Prior experience in event coordination, environmental advocacy, or research is an asset. Good knowledge and research experience in climate change and climate financing is desired.

Qualifications

Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a Master’s program in Environmental Science, International Relations

Languages Required
Fluency in English is required for the internship.
Languages Preferred
Knowledge of an additional official UN language is an advantage.
Contract Duration
6 months
Work Modality
Full time and in person in Turkiye
Remuneration
Interns are not financially remunerated by the United Nations. Costs and arrangements for travel, visas, accommodation and living expenses are the responsibility of interns or their sponsoring institutions.
