Overview
Support the work on mainstreaming disability inclusion in the prevention and combating of GBV and protecting women and girls with disabilities against violence.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop a practical methodology for integrating a human rights and disability inclusion perspective into operational manuals of seven selected services.
- Formulate concrete, actionable proposals and content for integration into operational manuals, including accessibility standards and tailored procedures.
- Review and contribute to draft operational manuals by integrating developed proposals.
- Review operational procedures for women’s service delivery and formulate proposals for inclusive service delivery.
- Participate in meetings and consultations to support the validation and adjustment of operational manuals.
- Support mainstreaming disability inclusion in relevant regulations and standards related to GBV and domestic violence.
- Conduct a training needs assessment and develop a training programme/curricula for staff of shelters and service providers.
- Develop and deliver training programmes and materials on working with women and girls with disabilities.
- Conduct coaching sessions for specialists on working with women and girls with disabilities.
- Review and propose improvements for training programmes for multidisciplinary teams from a disability inclusion perspective.
- Conduct training for members of multidisciplinary teams.
- Support the creation and empowerment of a network of women with disabilities in GBV, advocacy, policy making and prevention of violence.
- Support women with disabilities to conduct awareness raising on prevention and combating of GBV.
- Support the development of awareness raising materials accessible for women and girls with disabilities.
Required Experience
- At least 3 years of experience in disability inclusion, social work, promoting the right of persons with disabilities, inclusive service delivery or technical advisory/consultancy roles in the respective fields.
- Proven expertise in the field of human rights and inclusion of persons with disabilities.
- Experience working with the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection and social services providers is considered an asset.
- Knowledge of area of violence and gender based violence and protection system is an asset.
Qualifications
First degree in human rights, education, social work, psychology, international relations, or other relevant fields.
