Overview
This internship is designed to support the Exhibits Unit within the Department of Global Communications. The role involves assisting in the production and promotion of UN exhibitions.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in communication and outreach activities for UN exhibitions, including drafting and editing website and social media content, and monitoring social media output
- Assist in researching, compiling, and organizing materials for UN exhibition development
- Assist in designing exhibit materials as needed
- Assist in planning and organizing exhibit installations and opening events
- Assist in general office functions such as drafting correspondence, setting up and maintaining files/records and databases, and organizing meetings
- Assist in other support for the work of Visitor Services Section, if needed
- Perform other duties as required
Qualifications
- Be enrolled in, or have completed, the final academic year of a first university degree programme (minimum bachelor's degree or equivalent), or
- Be enrolled in, or have completed, a graduate school programme (second university degree or equivalent, or higher)
- Good knowledge of standard software applications, especially MS Word and MS PowerPoint, is required.
