Overview
The internship supports the work of the Office of the Victims' Rights Advocate, focusing on research, analysis, and communication activities related to the mandate of the VRA and the response to sexual exploitation and abuse.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct research and analysis on matters of concern to the mandate of the VRA and the work of the Office
- Support the implementation of internal and external communications strategies
- Support the production of multimedia and digital content
- Support in designing, drafting and updating presentations and other communications materials
- Assist in communication and public information activities and outreach, monitor and track social media engagement
- Attend and take notes of the proceedings of meetings and conferences
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Required Experience
No working experience is required to apply for the United Nations Internship Programme.
Qualifications
- Be enrolled in, or have completed, a graduate school programme (second university degree or equivalent, or higher)
- OR be enrolled in, or have completed, the final academic year of a university degree programme (minimum bachelor's level or equivalent)
- Be computer literate in standard software applications
- Pursuing relevant courses or studies in one of the following areas: communication, journalism, web design, data visualization, marketing
- Have experience with graphic/web design applications
