Overview
This internship assignment supports the implementation, monitoring, and assessment of the UNIC’s Outreach Programme. The intern will assist with researching, compiling, and designing outreach materials and campaigns.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in researching, selection, and compilation of news content for media monitoring reports.
- Assist with background research, information design, and graphic design for a handbook.
- Assist with the design and execution of an internal communications campaign.
- Assist in planning and production of outreach activities and products, including drafting text and creating presentations.
- Assist in the design and distribution of audience feedback surveys.
- Assist in the planning and execution of the UN Caribbean Five Years Forward campaign.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Experience
Applicants to the UN Internship Programme are not required to have professional work experience. However, a field of study that is closely related to the type of internship that you are applying for is required. Describe previous volunteer experience. Describe previous experience with video editing, graphic design and/or online community management.
Qualifications
- Be enrolled in, or have completed, a graduate school programme (second university degree or equivalent, or higher); or
- Be enrolled in, or have completed, the final academic year of a first-level university degree programme (minimum bachelor’s degree or equivalent).
- Be a student in the final year of the first university degree (bachelor or equivalent), Master’s or Ph.D. Programme or equivalent, or have completed a Bachelor’s, Master’s or PH.D. Programme.
- Have good knowledge of standard software MS applications.
