Overview

This internship supports the Content and Channels team in developing UNDRR’s knowledge platform, focusing on digital analytics, user journey research, and AI tooling for editorial workflows.


Key Responsibilities
  • Support monitoring and reporting of web analytics (Google Analytics 4, Looker Studio) across UNDRR’s digital portfolio.
  • Contribute to user journey and user experience research on PreventionWeb.
  • Assist with the practical application of AI tooling to editorial workflows.
  • Publish and curate disaster risk reduction content in PreventionWeb’s Drupal content management system.
  • Identify content for social media promotion and propose optimisations based on web analytics.
  • Assist in validating and maintaining source organisation profiles and contribute to editorial guidelines.
Required Experience

Applicants to the UN Internship Programme are not required to have professional work experience.

Qualifications
  • Enrolled in, or have completed, a graduate school programme (second university degree or equivalent, or higher); OR enrolled in, or have completed, the final academic year of a first university degree programme (minimum Bachelor’s degree or equivalent).
  • A field of study that is closely related to the type of internship is required.
  • Good knowledge of standard software applications, especially MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and MS Teams.

Languages Required
Fluency in spoken and written English is required.
Languages Preferred
Knowledge of French or Spanish is an advantage.

Remuneration
Interns are not financially remunerated by the United Nations. Costs and arrangements for travel, visas, accommodation and living expenses are the responsibility of interns or their sponsoring institutions.
