Overview
This internship is located in the Sales and Marketing Section, Outreach Division of the Department of Global Communications. The role assists in designing and implementing marketing strategies for United Nations Publications and promoting the UN brand.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with planning and producing marketing campaigns across different channels and platforms
- Assist with logistic support for the organization of public events in the UN Bookshop
- Assist with drafting, formatting, editing, and posting original web site content/news stories/ social media content, including graphics, photographs, and video
- Assist with the maintenance of databases and compile reports
- Assist with research on thematic issues
- Assist with development and implementation of surveys
- Assist with general office support duties
Required Experience
No work experience is required to apply for the United Nations Internship Programme. However, a field of study that is closely related to the type of internship that are applying for is required.
Qualifications
- Be enrolled in a graduate school programme (second university degree or equivalent, or higher).
- Be enrolled in the final academic year of a first university degree programme (minimum bachelor's level or equivalent).
- Have graduated with a university degree (minimum bachelor's level or equivalent).
- Be computer literate in standard software applications.
- Have a demonstrated keen interest in the work of the United Nations and have a personal commitment to the ideals of the UN Charter.
- Have a demonstrated ability to successfully interact with individuals of different cultural backgrounds and beliefs, which include willingness to try and understand and be tolerant of differing opinions and views.
