Overview

Support the Viet Nam Administration of Disease Prevention in evaluating the National Strategy on NCD prevention and control and developing a model for its implementation.


Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate implementation of the National Strategy on NCD prevention and control 2015-25.
  • Develop a model to implement the NCD component at commune health stations of the upcoming National Target Program on Health Care, Population and Development in the period 2026-2035.
  • Apply selection criteria for initial provinces.
  • Produce a synthesis and analysis of provincial reports.
  • Develop a tool for synthesizing and analyzing provincial reports.
  • Draft a list of NCD services and critical requirements.
  • Draft and finalize the NCD model.
  • Apply criteria and select initial provinces for implementation.
  • Provide a summary report of all activities and deliverables.
Required Experience
  • At least 10 years of experience in public health, including NCD management at commune health stations.
  • Desirable: Experience in M&E, development of national health legislation or guidelines on NCD prevention and control.
  • Desirable: Experience working with the WHO.
Qualifications
  • Essential: Master’s (or higher) in preventive medicine, public health, or relevant areas.
  • Desirable: Medical Doctor or Preventive Medicine Doctor.

Remuneration
VNM3 level in the EU-UN cost norm 2022, amounting to USD 2,800 per month, to be paid in local currency.
