Overview
The Driver provides reliable and safe driving services to UNFPA staff, officials, and visitors, ensuring timely and efficient travel while upholding discretion and integrity.
Key Responsibilities
- Drives office vehicles for the transport of UNFPA staff, officials, and visitors.
- Delivers and collects mail, documents, and other items.
- Meets official personnel and visitors at train stations and airports.
- Keeps abreast of traffic, road conditions, and security considerations.
- Manages all aspects of vehicle maintenance, including minor repairs and arranging major services.
- Maintains accurate daily vehicle logs and assists in preparing vehicle maintenance reports.
- Ensures availability of all required vehicle documents.
- Monitors and tracks insurance, taxes, and other vehicle-related compliance requirements.
- Adheres to all UNFPA rules, regulations, and safety procedures.
- Maintains awareness of security, road, and operational risks.
- Supports other office operations as assigned related to vehicle management.
Required Experience
Three years’ work experience as a driver in an international organisation, embassy or UN system with a safe driving record.
Qualifications
- Completed Secondary Level Education.
- Valid driver’s license.
