Overview
The Supply Chain Management Specialist (Fleet, Logistics and Assets Management) plays a vital role in the efficient and effective operation of UNMAS, ensuring the safe and reliable deployment and utilization of fleet and assets for mine action activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for fleet performance and optimum utilization.
- Oversight of all workshops management activities.
- Effective control and management of assets.
- Development and implementation of maintenance plans and workshop procedures.
- Supervision and management of a team.
- Management of transport planning and movement coordination.
- Liaison with UNMISS logbase on supply movement, fuel resupply, and base support logistics.
- Coordination of customs clearance, import/export procedures, and in-country transport arrangements.
- Facilitate engagement and provision of high-quality results and services of the supervised team.
- Organize, facilitate and/or deliver training and learning initiatives for programme personnel on Fleet, Logistics & Asset related topics.
Required Experience
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
- Experience in developing and implementing maintenance plans and workshop procedures.
- Experience in supervising and managing a team.
- Desired: Experience working in a UN or international organization.
- Desired: Experience with ERP systems and asset management databases.
Qualifications
- Required: Advanced university degree (Master’s degree or equivalent) with 5 years of relevant experience; or First Level university degree (Bachelor’s degree or equivalent) with 7 years of relevant experience.
- Desired: Certification in Fleet Management or Asset Management.
