Overview

Provide technical assistance, incidence, and advocacy on Citizen and Development Participation of Adolescents in health services, adolescent health, and identities.


Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical assistance to implementing partners on immunization, nutrition and integral health issues and advocacy to municipal and state governments.
  • Provide technical assistance and training to municipal technicians on health and nutrition issues.
  • Collaborate on dissemination and training of anti-racism practices within health public service for early childhood.
  • Provide technical advocacy for the establishment of adolescent health programs in Primary Health Care units.
  • Contribute to strengthening the adolescent participation component of the School-Education Programme.
  • Contribute to the implementation of the online Pode Falar initiative for mental health support.
  • Contribute to promote adolescents’ right to participate at the local level.
  • Provide technical assistance to IPs and other partners on engagement and activism of adolescents and young people issues.
  • Implement UNICEF strategy to promote adolescent girls’ rights at the local level.
  • Mobilize adolescents to get engaged in climate actions at the local level.
Required Experience
  • Minimum 3 years (in total) of experience in Psychology for/with Adolescents, Mobilization and Development of Adolescents, Children’s Health, social and communitarian project management.
  • Knowledge of adolescents’ development.
  • Expertise in adolescents’ mobilization and participation at the community level.
  • Background and familiarity with international human rights, children’s rights.
  • Advanced knowledge of State and municipal governments and civil society organizations and the Children system of rights guarantee (SGD).
  • Have affinity with or interest in children’s rights, Adolescent’s Development, and Health, Public policy planning.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and proven ability to facilitating interagency processes to achieve a common goal.
  • Experience with traditional, originating and peripheric population, monitoring of human rights and advocacy is an asset;
  • Computer and database literacy is an asset
Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Public Health, Social Sciences, Social Work, Nutrition, Communication and other relevant areas e.g. Human Development and Human Rights.
