Overview
The Results-Based Management (RBM) Specialist will provide technical support to strengthen RBM practices in programme planning, monitoring, and reporting processes for the United Nations Development Programme Pacific portfolios.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and strengthen the Pacific Office Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Strategy.
- Facilitate the compilation and consolidation of results achieved under the Multi-Country Programme (2023–2027).
- Review and ensure results captured in digital platforms are compliant with RBM standards.
- Support programme teams by facilitating RBM-focused learning sessions, clinics, and workshops.
- Lead the provision of inputs for the establishment of a web-based results tracking system.
- Deliver targeted RBM coaching, mentoring, and on-the-job technical support.
- Develop practical quality assurance tools for theories of change, results frameworks, and monitoring strategies.
Required Experience
- Minimum of 5–8 years of progressively responsible professional experience in Results-Based Management (RBM), programme planning, monitoring and evaluation, or results-oriented programme management within the field of international development.
- Demonstrated experience in applying RBM approaches within UN agencies, international organisations, or development partner institutions is highly desirable.
- Proven experience in developing and/or reviewing theories of change, logical frameworks (logframes), indicators, and results frameworks.
- Proven experience in the design and development of web-based monitoring systems and Power BI dashboards.
Qualifications
- An advanced university degree (Master’s degree or equivalent) in Development Studies, Public Policy, Economics, Social Sciences, International Relations, Monitoring and Evaluation, or a related field is required.
- A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, combined with additional years of qualifying professional experience, may be considered in lieu of an advanced university degree.
