Overview
The Financial Dashboard Specialist will develop and engineer the Pacific Integrated Financial Dashboard (P-IFD) to consolidate financial data from multiple sources into a single, user-friendly platform for improved financial oversight and decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct assessment of reporting requirements and data needs.
- Identify key financial management indicators and data points.
- Integrate data from corporate platforms and manual repositories.
- Define "source of truth" for financial and programme indicators.
- Develop methodology for data harmonisation and aggregation.
- Determine data security protocols and user access levels.
- Develop a scalable design for the web-based Pacific Integrated Financial Dashboard (P-IFD).
- Structure the dashboard for intuitive data visualisation, trend analysis, and exception monitoring.
- Incorporate mapping and segmentation functionalities for financial data visualisation.
- Design interactive visualisation tools.
- Integrate automated validation rules and exception flags.
- Liaise with RBM Specialist to develop a results tracking module.
- Develop a data backup, archiving, business continuity, and cybersecurity framework.
- Conduct pilot testing and user acceptance testing (UAT).
- Ensure dashboard outputs reconcile with UNDP corporate reporting platforms.
- Develop a user manual and training materials, and conduct knowledge transfer and training sessions.
- Ensure formal handover of all source files, datasets, backend logic, system architecture, administrative rights, and technical documentation.
Required Experience
- Minimum 5-8 years of progressively responsible experience in developing results and financial information systems and dashboards.
- Experience with UN or international development organizations is an asset.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Information Systems, Statistics, Finance, or a related field is required.
- A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, combined with additional relevant professional experience, may be considered in lieu of a Master’s degree.
