Overview

Responsible for calculating and processing pension entitlements and ensuring eligible participants, retirees, and beneficiaries are serviced in accordance with the Fund's Regulations, Rules, and Pension Adjustment System.


Key Responsibilities
  • Perform administrative formalities and calculate pension fund entitlements, benefits, validations, and estimates.
  • Carry out calculations for periodic pension benefits, lump sum commutations, withdrawal, settlements, and residual settlements.
  • Analyze new staff members' files to determine participation rights and obtain necessary information.
  • Calculate estimates of future benefit options.
  • Provide information and answer queries from participants.
  • Computerize financial reports on contributions and reconcile data.
  • Request missing separation documents.
  • Prepare separation files and determine entitlements.
  • Determine final entitlement components for monthly pension, lump sum, and child benefits.
  • Enter payment instructions in the IPAS system.
  • Draft correspondence in French or English.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Experience
  • A minimum of five (5) years of experience in employee benefits administration or related area is required.
  • The minimum years of relevant experience is reduced to three (3) for candidates who possess a first-level university degree or higher.
  • One (1) year or more of experience processing high volume of complex cases and competing priorities, involving pension calculations, benefit entitlements, pension adjustments, and multi-currency transactions, and meeting strict operational deadlines with accuracy and attention to details is desirable.
  • One (1) year or more of experience in supporting system enhancements, digital transformation initiatives, or process improvement projects is desirable.
  • One (1) year or more of experience in drafting professional correspondence in English and French is desirable.
  • One (1) year or more of experience in data analytics or related area is desirable.
