Overview
The Senior Reintegration Associate will support the effective delivery and coordination of reintegration assistance in line with programmatic objectives and organizational priorities.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide support in the technical coordination of AVRR activities.
- Ensure regular communication with project units, partners, government representatives, NGO members, and other IOM members.
- Recruit Reintegration Assistants (case managers) in coordination with the National Reintegration Officer.
- Provide training and equip reintegration assistants.
- Guide reintegration assistants in the development of reintegration plans, monitoring approach, and personalized support for returning migrants.
- Assist Reintegration Assistants in developing a referral network at the local level.
- Conduct assessments of the individual situation of migrants returning to Cameroon.
- Ensure the timely collection of data by integration assistants and its transmission to the database.
- Work in close collaboration with the mission’s monitoring and evaluation unit.
- Carry out regular field missions for coordination and monitoring/evaluation of project activities.
- Handle complaints received by assisted migrants.
- Contribute to the analysis and budgetary monitoring of project activities.
- Assist in the writing, coordination, and compilation of narrative reports and internal statistics.
- Support the organization of capacity building activities for governmental and non-governmental organizations.
- Carry out any other task that may be entrusted.
Required Experience
- Four years of relevant professional experience with a university degree; or six years of relevant professional experience with a school diploma.
- Operational experience on themes related to migration.
- Solid knowledge of requirements for implementing and monitoring projects, particularly return and reintegration projects.
- Experience in Assisted Voluntary Return and Reintegration, and proven knowledge in other migration thematic.
- Experience in organizing trainings, capacity building and other educational activities.
- Experience in the operation and administrative, financial management and procedures of the IOM.
- High level of computer literacy and knowledge of spreadsheet and data analysis (MiMOSA, PRISM, PRIMA).
- Experience in leading reintegration cycle operations.
- Experience in protection and migrants counselling.
Qualifications
• University degree in social sciences, Business administration, Project management, or a related field from an accredited academic institution; or School diploma.
