Overview

This internship supports the Enterprise Programme & Vendor Management unit in strengthening the Enterprise Vendor Management framework and analyzing data to provide actionable insights.


Key Responsibilities
  • Review and update EVM SOPs and templates.
  • Assist in processing and documenting financial requests.
  • Review manual processes and propose automated solutions.
  • Analyze EVM data to develop BI reports and dashboards.
  • Propose updates to SharePoint site and folder structure.
  • Propose updates to the team’s Intranet page.
Required Experience

Applicants to the UN Internship Programme are not required to have professional work experience. A field of study that is closely related to the type of internship that you are applying for is required. Applicants must have a good knowledge and keen interest in vendor management, contract management, and procurement support. Good communication and collaboration, problem-solving and critical thinking, and time management and planning skills are necessary. Applicants must have good knowledge of standard software applications, especially MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS SharePoint, and MS Teams. Ability to draft process documentation / automation outputs based on research tailored to vendor / contract management and procurement topics.

Qualifications

Applicants must meet one of the following requirements: (a) be enrolled in, or have completed, a graduate school programme (second university degree or equivalent, or higher); (b) be enrolled in, or have completed, the final academic year of a first university degree programme (minimum bachelor’s degree or equivalent). Applicants must be a student in the final year of the first university degree (bachelor or equivalent), Master’s or Ph.D. Programme or equivalent, or have completed a Bachelor’s, Master’s or PH.D. Programme.

Fluency in spoken and written English is required for the internship.
Languages Preferred
Knowledge of an additional official UN language is an advantage.

Remuneration
Interns are not financially remunerated by the United Nations. Costs and arrangements for travel, visas, accommodation and living expenses are the responsibility of interns or their sponsoring institutions.
