Overview

Responsible for greeting visitors, conducting tours, answering questions, and assisting with marketing and communications projects for the Africa Hall Visitors Centre.


Key Responsibilities
  • Greet and receive visitors to the campus in a friendly and approachable manner.
  • Conduct in-person and virtual tours by providing accurate information and directions.
  • Answer questions accurately whenever asked by visitors.
  • Remain informed of new information and appropriately relay that message to visitors.
  • Assist with marketing and communications related projects concerning the Africa Hall Visitors Centre.
  • Remain alert and observant of visitors' safety and overall actions.
  • Assists with the collection and analysis of data as well as preparation of data presentations and reports.
  • Assists with visualizations and updating information material such as web pages or brochures.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Experience

A minimum of five (5) years of experience as a tour guide, communication, journalism, public information, marketing, tourism and hospitality, or in a related field is required. The minimum years of relevant experience is reduced to three (3) years for candidates who possess a first-level university degree or higher.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent is required.
