Overview
Coordinate the preparation and implementation of the UNICEF Rapid Response (UniRR) program to ensure the survival and well-being of children and mothers, and affected communities in an emergency.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate the preparation and implementation of the UNICEF Rapid Response (UniRR) program.
- Develop, plan, implement, monitor and evaluate emergency interventions in the framework of UniRR.
- Provide coordination and support for policy and program planning and management of the UniRR program.
- Oversee the activities of the internal UNICEF UniRR task force.
- Ensure UniRR program is delivered in a proper, coordinated, cost-efficient and adequate manner.
Required Experience
- Five years of progressively responsible professional work experience in developing countries in planning, implementing, and monitoring of emergency programs with either NGO, UN and/or IO in humanitarian context is mandatory.
- At least two years working at international level in complex emergency situations implementing emergency programmes, including at least one year working at field level.
- At least two years of proven experience in implementing Rapid response program in the context of recurrent population movement and public health emergencies is mandatory.
- Proven experience in supply and budget management is mandatory.
- Experience in multi-stakeholder co-ordination and facilitation.
Qualifications
Master or equivalent (Advanced University Degree) in Public Health, International Law, Public Health in Emergency, Nutrition, WASH, International relations, Humanitarian action, Management, Administration and any other related fields.
