Overview
The Communication & Partnerships Officer will report to the Deputy Representative and play a pivotal role in advancing UNICEF São Tomé e Príncipe’s communication, advocacy, and partnership efforts.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure a clear and effective communication strategy that supports programmatic objectives, mobilizes public support for children’s rights, strengthens political will, and enhances the organization’s credibility and brand.
- Maintain strong engagement with key stakeholders, including media, influencers, child rights champions, and others, to advance advocacy, partnership, and communication objectives.
- Provide technical support or contribute to team efforts.
- Identify and proactively address opportunities to strengthen the capacity of the country’s communication, partnership, and resource mobilization teams, as well as media and other key stakeholders.
- Expand resource mobilization efforts by fostering high-impact public and private partnerships while ensuring the quality and strategic alignment of funding proposals.
Required Experience
At least 2 years of relevant work experience in Communication, Advocacy, Print, Broadcast Media, Interactive Digital media, Public affairs, Programme management, Resource mobilization, External relations and any other related fields.
Qualifications
Bachelor or equivalent (First Level University Degree) in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, International Development, Social Science and any other related fields.
