Overview

The incumbent is expected to contribute to the development and implementation of Monitoring, Review and Evaluation Plans aligned to WFP corporate standards to generate quality evidence on the lives of beneficiaries and inform policy, strategy and programme design and implementation.


Key Responsibilities
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of the M&E plan aligned with WFP corporate standards and country-specific strategies.
  • Support line manager in ensuring that Country Office’ monitoring systems and tools are in place and compliant with corporate standards including the minimum monitoring requirements (MMR), standard operational procedures (SOP), etc.
  • Contribute to the development or updating of M&E tools, methodologies, and data collection instruments to ensure accurate and reliable data.
  • Oversee the process monitoring planning and data collection and support the implementation of the Risk Based Monitoring Framework.
  • Conduct regular analysis of the process monitoring coverage and the implementation of the MMR.
  • Ensure data quality, accuracy, and completeness through rigorous data cleaning and validation processes.
  • Analyze collected data to prepare periodic process monitoring reports, identify trends, patterns, and insights relevant to program performance.
  • Utilize data visualization techniques to communicate findings effectively to diverse audiences, including program staff.
  • Coordinate the dissemination of monitoring findings and recommendations to a series of audiences including senior management, internal programme colleagues, field team, etc. to support the country office decision-making and related actions.
  • Provide training and technical assistance to WFP staff and partners including Third Party Monitoring (TPM) on M&E principles, methodologies, and tools as required.
  • Contribute to the development of innovative, user-friendly, and useful knowledge products for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by the Head of the M&E.
Required Experience

Five years of relevant professional work experience in international development or humanitarian work with at least four years experience in managing complex monitoring and/or evaluation activities.

Qualifications

Advance university degree in Economics, Statistics, Sociology, or another relevant field. A master’s degree will be an added advantage.
