Overview
Support the Strategic Planning and Institutional Liaison Unit in tracking progress against Mission-wide plans, reviewing implementation status, and contributing to the preparation of internal and external reports. The role will also support the development and rollout of planning tools and assist in information management.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the management of the Mission’s strategic planning processes, including formulation, monitoring, and reporting phases.
- Contribute to the management and preparation of Mission-wide reports in Spanish and English.
- Carry out quality improvement processes in information management, project monitoring, and reporting.
- Collaborate in the design and implementation of the Mission’s strategic planning rollout strategy.
- Participate as the focal point for information, monitoring, and reporting in United Nations System coordination meetings and other fora.
Required Experience
- Demonstrated interest or experience (up to 12 months) in development of conceptual frameworks, workplans, and indicators linked to United Nations System planning exercises and Mission-level planning processes.
- Coordination with United Nations System entities, particularly the Resident Coordinator’s Office and humanitarian coordination structures.
- Experience or knowledge in monitoring and evaluation and in reporting in accordance with donor, Headquarters, Government, and United Nations requirements.
- Supporting co-leadership roles in strategic planning processes with the United Nations and other partners is an asset.
- Knowledge of the Organization’s broad programmatic portfolio, including the peace and migration approach.
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in (currently enrolled or recent graduate) in International Relations, Political or Social Sciences, International Cooperation, Project Management, or a related field.
