Overview
The Gender and Human Rights Analyst will contribute to the planning, implementation, and monitoring of interventions aimed at improving adolescents' and youth's access to quality services in sexual and reproductive health and education.
Key Responsibilities
- - Contribute to developing draft workplans and implementing programmatic actions in SRH of adolescents and youth.
- - Support the organization and coordination of project missions, workshops, and meetings.
- - Support implementation of programmatic activities linked to Menstrual Hygiene Management and economic empowerment of women and girls.
- - Participate in the planning, implementation, and coordination of research initiatives.
- - Identify vulnerable populations to design and implement prioritized actions for improved sexual and reproductive rights of adolescents and youth.
- - Contribute to preparation of training workshops and awareness-raising sessions related to adolescent-friendly health services and peer educators.
- - Support the office in documenting strategies, tools and post-training follow-up for sustainable capacity development initiatives.
- - Support the office with collecting and analyzing quantitative and qualitative data for advocacy, communications, and reporting.
- - Consolidate, document and report good practices, lessons learned based on data and evidence.
- - Contribute to cost-benefit analysis and cost effectiveness of interventions.
- - Provide support in drafting background papers, reports, and policy briefs related to Gender Equality and Women Empowerment.
- - Support the office in mapping and exploring existing and emerging partnership opportunities.
- - Develop high-impact pitches and impactful human-interest stories.
- - Support the programme officers in developing timely and quality donor reporting, funding proposals/ concept notes, and advocacy/ communications materials.
- - Identifying innovative partnership opportunities with the private sector.
- - Be part of the planning and organization of missions/ field visits and/or meetings with potential donors or partners.
- - Provide capacity building support to Youth-Led Organizations.
- - Assisting in any other task as required by the Country Office.
Required Experience
- Minimum experience: 3-5 years in the areas of project management / planning, design, implementation, and monitoring and evaluation of projects, preferably related to health, education, protection of adolescents and youth, or other vulnerable populations at least developed or middle-income countries.
- Experiences working in adolescent and youth-related areas, international development, project management / planning, monitoring and evaluation.
- Experiences working in least developed or middle-income countries is a strong asset.
- Basic knowledge on gender mainstreaming, gender-transformative approach, human-right based management is required.
- Demonstrated experience in networking and partnership skills is a strong asset.
- Experience working in multidisciplinary, diverse teams and/or coordinating with stakeholders.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in the areas related to international development, public health, education, public policies, human rights, gender, economics, business administration, or other relevant social science areas.
