Overview

The Monitoring and Reporting Specialist will support the Country Office in incorporating monitoring and reporting into programme formulation and perform monitoring, reporting, and evaluation services to track and report results against targets.


Key Responsibilities
  • Contribute to programme formulation by reviewing results frameworks, managing the development of monitoring indicators, calendars, and plans, and ensuring the incorporation of evaluation findings.
  • Oversee monitoring and tracking of results against country/regional level targets and UN Women Strategic Plan, coordinating data collection, analysis, and use of the UN Women Results Management System.
  • Oversee reporting of results to internal and external audiences, providing technical guidance, assisting with report finalization, and ensuring data availability for corporate reports.
  • Provide technical support to the Country Office in the implementation of the UN Women Evaluation Policy.
  • Contribute to knowledge building and capacity building by identifying and disseminating good practices, developing training materials, and promoting awareness of M&E responsibilities.
Required Experience
  • At least 5 years of progressively responsible experience at the national or international level in results-based monitoring and reporting on development and/or projects/programmes.
  • Proven experience working on gender equality and women empowerment is required.
  • At least 2 years’ experience working in a development and/or humanitarian country context is required.
  • Experience in the application of Results-Based Management (RBM) to programme/project cycle is required.
  • Experience in data collection and analysis with qualitative or/and quantitative data collection methodologies for monitoring and/or evaluation work is required.
  • Experience in results-based planning, monitoring, reporting and/or evaluation of gender-specific programme/project at the country level is desirable.
  • Experience in conducting RBM training, as a trainer, to personnel and/or external partners to support results-based monitoring and reporting is desirable.
  • Experience in the usage of computers and office software packages (MS Word, Excel, etc.) and spreadsheet and database packages, experience in handling of web-based management systems is required.
  • Experience in the use of a modern web-based ERP System, preferably Oracle Cloud, is desirable.
  • Experience in the United Nations systems is desirable.
Qualifications
  • Master’s degree (or equivalent) in Political or Social Science, Economics, International Development Studies, Gender/Women's Studies is required.
  • A first-level university degree in combination with two additional years of qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree.
  • A project/programme management certification (such as PMP®, PRINCE2®, or MSP®) would be an added advantage.
