Overview
The UNV Support Officer will assist the UNV Programme Coordinator in monitoring and supervising administrative activities related to the rapid recruitment of UN Volunteers for the Verification Mission. The role involves supporting volunteer registration, onboarding, and administrative processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the UNV Programme Coordinator in monitoring and supervising administrative activities for the rapid recruitment of UN Volunteers.
- Support the registration of new volunteers, including data entry into UNV systems.
- Assist in preparing induction agendas and administrative/programmatic inductions for new UN Volunteers.
- Provide advice and support in managing UN Volunteers, including roster registration, documentation, and benefits administration.
- Assist with reporting processes for the human resources unit.
- Support internal communication strategies with volunteers, including creating communication materials and facilitating the use of new IT platforms for benefits management.
- Maintain fluid communication with volunteers as required, sharing necessary information.
- Perform other tasks as requested within the scope of functions, based on experience and capacity, in accordance with UNV Colombia policies and procedures.
Required Experience
- At least 4 years of experience in Administration and management, Finance, Human Resources, Psychology, or Social Communication.
- Prior experience in personnel management is mandatory.
- Advanced experience with Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, including document drafting, database analysis, statistics, pivot tables, and presentation creation for training.
- Experience managing personnel cases in high-pressure contexts, providing timely, empathetic, and effective support in complex and stressful situations, with a client-oriented approach.
- Previous experience in organizing information and following up on administrative processes.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Flexibility and adaptability to a multidisciplinary and multicultural environment.
- Immediate availability.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Social Communication, International Relations, Business Administration, or related fields.
