Overview
The Social and Behaviour Change Assistant (Demand Generation) will support the design, management, and implementation of Social and Behaviour Change Communication strategies and action plans to promote positive social change for children.
Key Responsibilities
- - Learn and support the design, management, and facilitation of SBC strategies for demand generation.
- - Support the organization of formative research, development, pre-testing, and production of culturally relevant communication materials.
- - Learn and support partners and Programme Section to develop materials and training activities to build capacity in participatory communication and behavior change.
- - Support government counterparts on the development and appropriate use of social development communication.
- - Monitor and evaluate program activities based on applied SBC research and frequent visits to project sites.
- - Implement innovative practices and approaches and the latest technologies across multiple media and social/digital platforms and networks.
Required Experience
- A minimum of three years of professional experience in one or more of the following areas is required: social development and social and behavior change programme planning, communication for development, public advocacy, or another related area.
- Demonstrated interest and/or experience (at least one year) in planning for behavioral development communication, social mobilization, participatory communication, and research.
- Experience in communication, social mobilization, and data management for health, nutrition, education, protection, social policy, and other programmes is a major advantage.
- Ability to work effectively in an emergency and constantly changing environment.
- Ability to work independently, with initiative.
- Results-oriented with strong organizational skills.
Qualifications
- An advanced university degree in one of the following fields is required: social and behavioral science, sociology, anthropology, psychology, education, communication, public relations, or another relevant technical field.
- Bachelor's degree in combined with significant and relevant professional experience may be accepted on an exceptional basis.
