Overview
Support UNICEF's Child Protection System Strengthening Programme in Egypt by advancing human rights and child rights agendas, including implementation of CRC recommendations and stakeholder engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- Support coordination and follow up related to implementation of the CRC recommendations and other international human rights commitments relevant to children.
- Assist in maintaining effective communication and coordination with government counterparts, civil society organizations and development partners.
- Support the preparation of technical briefs, meeting minutes, concept notes, report and advocacy materials related to child protection and human rights.
- Contribute to organization and follow up on consultations, workshops, training and inter-agency meetings.
- Support implementation of activities under EU project and other related initiatives.
- Assist in tracking progress against annual workplans, outputs, deliverables and reporting requirements.
- Support documentation of good practices, lessons learners and programme achievements.
- Conduct background research and compile relevant legal, policy, and programme information related to child rights and child protection systems strengthening.
- Perform any other related tasks as required by the supervisor.
Required Experience
3 years of professional work experience, at the national and/or international level, in child protection, human rights or international development, or other relevant programmes; experience with working with government institutions, UN agencies or international development partners is an asset, or experience working in the UN or other international development organization.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Human rights, child protection, programme coordination or international development.
