Overview
Assist in planning, implementing, monitoring and evaluating communication strategies to give visibility to UNICEF’s work, bring children’s and women’s issues into the public domain, influence decision-makers, and enhance the organization’s credibility and brand.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure timely production and follow-up of communication products and materials.
- Provide professional assistance and support in developing and maintaining relationships with journalists and media outlets.
- Undertake regular monitoring and evaluation activities for country communication efforts.
- Maintain and develop contact lists of individuals, groups, and organizations for advocacy and communication objectives.
Required Experience
- Minimum one year practical professional work experience in communication, print and broadcast media, or interactive digital media.
- Field work experience.
- Background/familiarity with Emergency situations.
- Relevant experience at country level, particularly in development, fragile settings and humanitarian contexts.
Qualifications
• University degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations or related field.
