Overview

Support the implementation of the Energy Transition for Green Growth and Prosperity programme by participating in its development, implementation, and evaluation. The role involves coordinating technical assistance, providing secretariat support to an advisory group, and conducting research and analysis.


Key Responsibilities
  • Participate in the development, implementation and evaluation of the Energy Transition for Green Growth and Prosperity programme.
  • Monitor and analyze programme development and implementation.
  • Review relevant documents and reports.
  • Identify problems and issues to be addressed and propose corrective actions.
  • Liaise with relevant parties and identify and track follow-up actions.
  • Perform the coordination of technical assistance and analysis for relevant member states.
  • Plan and facilitate workshops and other interactive sessions.
  • Assist in developing the annual activity plan.
  • Provide secretariat and coordination support to a high-level advisory group.
  • Research, analyze and present information gathered from diverse sources.
  • Assist in policy development, including review and analysis of issues and trends.
  • Prepare evaluations or other research activities and studies.
  • Undertake survey initiatives and design data collection tools.
  • Review, analyze and interpret responses, identify problems/issues and prepare conclusions.
  • Prepare various written outputs, e.g. draft background papers, analysis, sections of reports and studies, inputs to publications.
  • Provide substantive support to consultations and other meetings, conferences, etc.
  • Undertake outreach activities and make presentations on assigned topics/activities.
  • Participate in or lead field missions, including provision of guidance to external consultants, government officials and other parties.
  • Draft mission summaries.
  • Coordinate activities related to budget and funding.
  • Prepare related documents/reports (pledging, work programme, programme budget, etc.).
  • Collect and analyze data to identify trends or patterns and provide insights using data visualization methods.
  • Perform other related duties as required.
Required Experience

A minimum of five years of progressively responsible experience in project or programme management, with work experience related to financing the energy transition in Southeast Asia, financing for development, regional cooperation in energy transition, policy analysis in energy transition, and/or related area, is required. Experience in supporting complex multi-stakeholder projects involving regional cooperation in an international organization is required. Experience in working in Southeast Asian countries on financing the energy transition is desirable. Experience with project management of technical assistance projects in financing the energy transition is desirable. 2 years or more of experience in data analytics or related area is desirable.

Qualifications

An advanced university degree (Master’s degree or equivalent) in business administration, finance, management, economics, energy, international relations, political science or a related field is required. A relevant first-level university degree in the above fields in combination with two additional years of qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree.
