Overview

The Risk and Compliance Associate will support the establishment and enhancement of risk management activities, contributing to the application of controls and compliance with policies and procedures to ensure the effectiveness of operations and optimization of WFP resources.


Key Responsibilities
  • Contribute to embedding risk management in planning and decision-making.
  • Support the collection of feedback and data on risk performance.
  • Support managers in regular and ad hoc risk assessments.
  • Support the discussion with functional experts and risk management focal points.
  • Collect information/training needs and contribute to the preparation of training programs.
  • Participate in the development of Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for managing the risk and accountability process.
  • Contribute to management accountability across functional units.
  • Support managers to prepare and plan for Internal Audit and External Audit.
  • Support the promotion and dissemination of the 2021 Revised Anti-Fraud and Anti-Corruption (AFAC) Policy.
  • Provide support to meet related incident management requirements.
  • Take lead in third-party risk management efforts in Gaza.
  • Other duties as required, including potentially contributing to business continuity planning processes.
Required Experience

Minimum six (06) years of relevant experience in risk management, audit, compliance, monitoring, program/project management and/or related fields, with a background and interest in international humanitarian and/or development sectors.

Qualifications

Completion of secondary level education is mandatory. First University degree in business/public administration, finance, accounting, international development, compliance, audit or other relevant field is highly desirable.
