Overview
The Monitoring and Evaluation Intern will contribute to the implementation of the “Migrant Protection Return and Reintegration for Sub-Saharan Africa (MPRR-SSA)” initiative, with a focus on strengthening migration governance, data management, and monitoring and evaluation.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide overall monitoring support to IOM Gambia in the day-to-day implementation of direct assistance, reintegration assistance and awareness raising activities.
- Provide support to the implementation of integration and /or reintegration assistance.
- Participate in the development of new monitoring and evaluation tools.
- Support with the review the conditions of the business plan regarding the AVRR program and raise issues or discrepancies.
- Conduct field and monitoring visits to beneficiaries' business sites and assess the impact of reintegration support.
- Support with the documentation and filing of all beneficiaries in a database for reference and monitoring.
- Support the preparation and timely submission of monthly monitoring reports.
- Provide general support for the assessment of qualitative and quantitative impact of grants and community projects.
- Support with data cleaning and the preparation of M&E reports, considering disaggregated gender, age and vulnerability data.
- Perform any other duties as may be assigned.
Required Experience
Less than two years of relevant working experience.
Qualifications
- Be enrolled in the final academic year of a university degree programme in development studies, Social Science, Law, Humanitarian Affairs or related field (minimum bachelor’s level or equivalent);
- Be enrolled in an advanced tertiary education programme with relevant working experience in the position advertised;
- Have graduated with a university degree or a tertiary diploma.
