Overview
The Monitoring and Evaluation Analyst will provide support to the country office in planning, monitoring, and results-based reporting activities, including designing information management and data collection tools.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical inputs for the development of theories of change.
- Coordinate and facilitate the development of M&E frameworks and plans.
- Provide inputs to the formulation of United Nations Framework.
- Support developing work plans to operationalise results.
- Develop a monitoring plan for the country programme document.
- Design a Monitoring and evaluation system based on HMIS/DHIS.
- Create/contextualize standard data collection tools.
- Provide technical inputs to the monitoring and tracking of results.
- Provide inputs to conduct annual and midterm reviews of projects and programmes.
- Support field monitoring and coordinate with the programme team.
- Collect and analyze data and evidence, and oversee data quality checks.
- Participate in joint United Nations joint results groups.
- Provide inputs for implementing adaptive and innovative monitoring practices.
- Design a Dashboard using Microsoft Power BI or similar platforms.
- Ensure routine data collection, data analysis, and timely monitoring of plan activities.
- Compile and analyze data for projects and present analytical reports.
- Develop quality results reports and support communicating results.
- Provide required results and data for producing external reports.
- Support producing and disseminating results reports on implementation of UNFPA strategic plan and regional programmes.
- Perform any other duties as may be assigned by the supervisor or designated authority.
Required Experience
- Prior professional experience in planning, designing and management of humanitarian programmes is required.
- Substantive experience in programme development and implementation and establishing monitoring and evaluation frameworks in development and humanitarian settings is required.
- Good knowledge of SRH and GBV issues, with working experience in data collection, management and analysis is required.
- Demonstrated understanding of issues related to confidentiality, data safety and other ethical concerns related to the sharing of sensitive data between humanitarian agencies is required.
- Demonstrated organizational skills: the ability to work independently and productively with multiple stakeholders in a fast-paced environment is required.
- Proficiency in current office software applications is required.
- Ability to organize work effectively and to meet planned deadlines is required.
- Familiarity with the UN and its policies and principles will be an advantage.
Qualifications
Advanced university degree in development studies, sociology and/or other related social science fields is required.
