Overview
The Senior Analyst, Middle East will provide intelligence assessments on cyber-related topics concerning the Middle East, with a particular focus on Iran, to NATO HQ decision makers.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide intelligence assessments on cyber-related topics related to the Middle East, particularly Iran.
- Coordinate with a range of stakeholders.
- Conduct thorough research and critical analytical skills.
- Produce ad hoc deskside briefings and intelligence assessments related to emerging events.
- Conduct longer term strategic analysis.
- Collaborate within the NATO Intelligence Enterprise.
- Monitor fast moving threat situations in the Middle East.
- Select, analyse, and present issues of strategic concern to NATO to senior leadership.
- Present complex and shifting threats in clear and concise terms.
- Align drafting, reporting and briefing with committee agendas and other events.
- Determine region-related topics of strategic importance and immediate threats to NATO.
- Conduct research and analysis of Allied intelligence reporting to gather relevant threat information.
- Analyse and assess to provide Intelligence and Situational Awareness to NATO strategic leaders.
- Communicate complex and shifting threat issues to NATO senior leadership.
- Manage demands for analysis and understanding from leaders under pressure.
- Provide relevant and timely intelligence to senior leadership.
- Manage stakeholder relations with Allied intelligence services and NATO Intelligence Enterprise interlocutors.
- Contribute to NATO representation by developing and communicating information supportive of NATO's interests.
- Perform any other related duty as assigned.
Required Experience
- 5 years in-depth experience in one of the following fields: cyber operations or analysis, intelligence collection or analysis, and/or data analytics.
- Demonstrable expertise related to the issues in the region (Middle East).
- Intelligence experience across a variety of geographic areas, particularly the Middle East (advantage).
- Acquainted with the structure, organisation and functions of the Alliance and NATO HQ (advantage).
Qualifications
• University degree, in the field of political science, international relations, security studies, statistics, data science, computer science or a related subject.
