Overview

Responsible for rolling out and improving Water and Sanitation (WATSAN) procedures/activities in MSF projects, tailoring them to different contexts, training personnel, and ensuring proper implementation and maintenance.


Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee and execute WATSAN procedures and activities.
  • Define and communicate clear Terms of Reference (ToR) before deployment.
  • Plan deployments in coordination with field team and HQ.
  • Assist WATSAN Managers in planning, feasibility studies, and assessment of WATSAN activities.
  • Assess Health Facilities for WATSAN compliance and propose improvements.
  • Advise on community WATSAN needs response.
  • Plan and support WATSAN activities for accessibility and inclusivity.
  • Assess waste management activities and suggest environmental impact reduction.
  • Evaluate and validate local WATSAN material suppliers.
  • Identify WATSAN compliance gaps and create action plans.
  • Assist in implementing specialist WATSAN activities.
  • Deliver tailored training sessions.
  • Provide remote support on WATSAN matters.
  • Update and guide teams on MSF tools.
  • Promote and implement OCBA’s WATSAN procedures.
  • Conduct feasibility studies on Accessibility and Inclusion in WATSAN projects.
  • Support sustainability initiatives in WATSAN activities.
  • Assist in WATSAN Emergency Interventions.
Required Experience
  • 1–2 years of experience working as a WATSAN or WATSAN related post in low-resource settings.
  • Experience in humanitarian work (preferably overseas).
  • Prior experience with MSF is an advantage.
  • Experience in adult training and coaching.
Qualifications

• Degree in Water, Hygiene, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.

Remuneration
• Annual gross salary: IRP2 level 4 (divided in monthly payments) + secondary benefits based on MSF OCBA Reward policy. Subjected to local conditions.
