Overview
The role provides administrative and operational support to the risk management unit, contributing to effective activity coordination, internal process monitoring, and information flow. The incumbent is expected to produce structured, accurate, and quality work while managing support activities for operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Gather information to assist staff in drafting documents and reports.
- Respond to queries and escalate issues as needed.
- Process and manage routine administrative and financial tasks.
- Review and proofread standard documents.
- Manage standard systems and files.
- Identify simple anomalies in statistics and data.
- Take responsibility for data integrity.
- Provide guidance on routine administrative support methods and practices to less experienced colleagues.
- Work with diverse individuals, gathering feedback to provide management support to staff.
Required Experience
- At least four years of progressive and responsible experience in the relevant field.
- Combined with experience in administrative work.
- Experience within the UN Security Management System, including its UNSMIN data platform, is an asset.
- Demonstrated experience in managing multiple databases is an asset.
- Experience in drafting communications for staff or other large groups is an asset.
Qualifications
- Completion of secondary education.
- A post-secondary certificate or a university degree in the relevant functional area is highly desirable.
