Overview
The Movement Operations Associate is responsible for undertaking movement operations activities, including coordinating, scheduling, and booking travel for individuals, and processing necessary documentation.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate, schedule and book travel for individuals.
- Organize and complete all bookings in a timely manner.
- Distribute travel information to internal and external stakeholders.
- Compile and analyze descriptive statistics using IOM institutional Movement Operations Systems.
- Prepare travel loan paperwork.
- Create movement data files.
- Identify and assign escorts to accompany vulnerable individuals.
- Process exit permission paperwork and travel documents.
- Conduct identity and document verification.
- Conduct pre-departure counselling.
- Identify beneficiary vulnerabilities and coordinate appropriate action.
- Provide regular feedback on work accomplished.
- Undertake duty travel as needed.
- Maintain and ensure the confidentiality and integrity of all relevant paperwork.
- Uphold RMM Protection Mainstreaming Minimum Standards.
- Alert the supervisor or management of any non-compliance.
Required Experience
- High school diploma with 5 years of work experience; or Bachelor’s degree with 3 years of relevant work experience.
- Prior Movement Operations, transportation-related and/or management experience are strongly preferred.
- Experience with Processing IOM institutional movement operations systems.
- Work experience in programs including movement operations component, particularly in resettlement programs.
- Experience with guiding and leading junior staff members.
- Experience with communicating with beneficiaries.
Qualifications
• High school diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Social Science, International Relations, Regional Studies or a related field from an accredited academic institution.
