Overview
To provide administrative and logistical support to staff members within the Division/Country Office, including managing front desk operations and assisting with document processing and dissemination.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide support for the organization of meetings, workshops, and seminars.
- Type correspondence, format documents, tables, and reports.
- Maintain correspondence logs and update office records.
- Answer telephone calls and respond to routine queries.
- Obtain and disseminate documents and information.
- Maintain a comprehensive filing system.
- Provide assistance and backup during meetings, workshops, and seminars.
- Manage the front desk, welcoming visitors and maintaining a visitor log.
- Support the processing of shipment customs clearance.
- Perform duties as a backup driver when requested.
Required Experience
- At least 2 years of clerical experience in an administrative/office environment.
- Desirable: Experience as a driver with a safe driving record.
- Desirable: Experience working with government agencies or non-governmental organisations, WHO or another UN agency.
Qualifications
- Essential: Completion of secondary school, or equivalent training.
- Desirable: Training or certification in office management, administration and a valid driver’s license.
