Overview

The Specialist, Planetary Futures will coordinate and operationalize a global cohort and senior leadership community for the Hoffmann Programme on Planetary Science for Economic Futures. This role supports day-to-day management of the cohort journey, including community engagement, programme coordination, events support, communications, and stakeholder management.


Key Responsibilities
  • Support application and selection processes, onboarding and engagement of Hoffmann Planetary Leaders.
  • Coordinate regular communications, community touchpoints, and engagement activities for the cohort.
  • Maintain cohort records, engagement tracking, and programme data.
  • Support implementation of the cohort curriculum, learning journeys, and peer exchange activities.
  • Coordinate logistics and scheduling for cohort meetings, workshops, and virtual convenings.
  • Support planning and delivery of annual fellowship gatherings, workshops, and dialogue sessions.
  • Coordinate invitations, briefing materials, speaker preparation, and participant communications.
  • Draft pre-read materials, programme notes, and engagement summaries.
  • Provide logistical and operational support for Forum and non-Forum events.
  • Conduct desk research and support mapping exercises.
  • Support coordination with academic institutions, research partners, and external collaborators.
  • Assist in tracking cohort outputs, collaborations, and impact indicators.
  • Collaborate with communications, events, and initiative teams.
  • Support knowledge-sharing across CNC thematic areas and related Forum communities.
Required Experience
  • 3+ years of relevant professional experience in programme coordination, community management, events, or stakeholder engagement.
  • Experience supporting multi-stakeholder initiatives or global communities and international events/convenings.
  • Familiarity with academic, research or fellowship programmes is a plus.
Qualifications

• A university degree or equivalent in sustainability, environmental studies, public policy, economics, international relations, communications, or related field.
