Overview
Consultant to undertake Terminal Reviews for CBIT Burundi and CBIT Cameroon projects, reporting to the Global Funds Mitigation and Transparency Section.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the Terminal Review design, data collection and analysis, and report-writing for CBIT Burundi and CBIT Cameroon projects.
- Conduct inception phase including desk review, drafting Theory of Change, preparing review framework, developing protocols, and drafting inception reports.
- Coordinate data collection and analysis phase including further desk review, in-depth interviews, information collection, surveys, data analysis, and progress reporting.
- Coordinate reporting phase including preparing presentations, drafting main Terminal Review reports, liaising on comments, and preparing Response to Comments annexes.
- Manage internal and external relations of the review team, maintaining positive relationships with stakeholders and timely communication with the Global Funds Mitigation and Transparency Section.
- Author and lead the terminal review in accordance with GEF and UNEP policies.
- Evaluate all elements of the projects in accordance with UNEP evaluation office guidance documents.
- Prepare deliverables in accordance with UNEP evaluation office templates.
Required Experience
- Minimum 2 years of experience in the evaluation and monitoring of development Projects in developing countries is required;
- Experience in working with national governments in Africa or developing countries is required;
- Experience working on technical aspects of development Projects in the environmental / climate change sector in Africa is desirable;
Qualifications
- Advanced university degree (i.e. master’s degree or higher) in management, business administration, economics, environment, engineering, energy or other relevant area is required;
- A first level degree with additional two years of qualifying experience maybe accepted in lieu of an advanced university degree;
