Overview
Support the implementation of Farmer Field School (FFS) activities in Samegrelo under the Dairy and Fruit & Vegetable (F&V) processing components of the project. Contribute to the organization and delivery of farmer trainings and dissemination activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and deliver training sessions within Dairy and F&V FFSs.
- Disseminate information about the project amongst farmers and explain the Farmer Field School approach.
- Support the identification of new Lead Farmers and identify neighbour farmers to participate as Student Farmers.
- Collect data using ZOHO about field activities and surveys.
- Support the preparation of training materials and presentations, updating the dairy/F&V processing curriculum.
- Implement pre and post tests after trainings, and analyse data.
- Participate in project coordination meetings and propose adjustments to workplan, logframe, MEAL plan and Communication Plan.
- Prepare draft narrative reports.
- Prepare visibility materials, including human stories, articles and posts.
- Contribute to the preparation of procurement plans, and participate in the procurement process.
- Support the Head of the Project Office in Zugdidi on the management of storage.
Required Experience
• At least one year of experience in field work in food technology/ food safety.
Qualifications
• University degree in Food Technology
