Overview

The Supply Chain Associate (Procurement) will provide procurement support to Missions worldwide and the Global Shared Service Centre, focusing on planning, compiling, presenting, and managing procurement data and contracts.


Key Responsibilities
  • Plan procurement actions for assigned projects, including preparing solicitations and tender documents.
  • Compile and present procurement data for presentations and monitoring.
  • Draft and issue contracts, and manage post-award financial aspects.
  • Identify new vendors and maintain relevant databases.
  • Serve as a liaison for procurement and ERP related issues.
  • Support the creation and enforcement of general procurement guidelines.
  • Coordinate on procurement matters related to emergency requirements.
  • Prepare procurement monitoring reports and payment requests.
  • Provide guidance on general procurement issues.
Required Experience
  • Professional experience in procurement, administrative services or related area is required.
  • At least three years of professional experience in procurement, contract management, or a related area, within the UN common system or in an international public organization, is desirable.
  • Experience working with an ERP system in the area of purchasing and/or supply chain is desirable.
Qualifications

• A professional certification by an internationally recognized procurement certification authority such as CIPS (level 2 certificate or equivalent) is desirable.
