Overview

This internship assignment supports inclusive outreach and engagement activities within the Recruitment Services Unit, aiming to promote diversity and inclusion in recruitment and workplace readiness.


Key Responsibilities
  • Support the identification of networks and organizations for outreach collaboration.
  • Draft inclusive outreach messages.
  • Maintain and update the outreach contact list and activity tracker.
  • Conduct desk research on inclusive recruitment practices.
  • Contribute to the development of knowledge products on outreach and diversity.
  • Assist in compiling recommendations for accessible work environments.
  • Support activities promoting disability inclusion awareness.
  • Contribute to planning and organizing outreach events, webinars, or campaigns.
Qualifications
  • Be enrolled in, or have completed, a graduate school programme (second university degree or equivalent, or higher).
  • Be enrolled in, or have completed, the final academic year of a first university degree programme (minimum bachelor’s degree or equivalent).
Other Details
Languages Required
• Fluency in English is required.
Languages Preferred
• Knowledge of an additional official UN language is an advantage.

Remuneration
Interns are not financially remunerated by the United Nations. Costs and arrangements for travel, visas, accommodation and living expenses are the responsibility of interns or their sponsoring institutions.
