Overview
Responsible for managing and supervising all stages of child protection programmes and projects to create a protective environment for children and safeguard their rights.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and supervise all stages of child protection programmes and projects.
- Establish plans of action and oversee work progress.
- Ensure achievement of concrete and sustainable programme and project results.
- Undertake managerial leadership.
- Undertake programme development and planning.
- Undertake programme management, monitoring and quality control of results.
- Provide advisory services and technical support.
- Undertake advocacy, networking and partnership building.
- Undertake innovation, knowledge management and capacity building.
Required Experience
- At least 8 years of relevant work experience in social development planning and management, monitoring and evaluation in child protection related areas, at the international level, is required.
- Required skills include family-based alternative care programming, programme development, programme planning, and programme management.
- Experience working in a developing country is considered as an asset.
- Relevant experience in programme development in child protection related areas, in particular family based alternative care programming in a UN system agency or organization is considered as an asset.
- Relevant experience at country level, particularly in development, fragile settings and humanitarian contexts.
Qualifications
Master or equivalent (Advanced University Degree) in international development, human rights, psychology, sociology, international law, or another relevant social science field.
